Primary Mechanics

Vacuum/Blower

The player is equipped with a device that can vacuum fluff and blow monsters away. The vacuum serves only to suck in floof and dig tunnels, while the blower serves only to blow floof monsters away. The vacuum cannot be used to collect gems.

Gems

Gems are a resource for player upgrades, and are also counted towards the player’s overall score at the end of the game. They spawn randomly scattered across the level. The current level and the time elapsed determine which gems will spawn, and how often. There are six different types of gems, such that the rarer they are, the more value they hold. In order, their rarity is as follows: Yellow, Green, Orange, Red, Purple, Cyan

Floof monsters

Tunnels dug by the player will spawn floof monsters that chase the player for their gems. If the player is caught, they lose their collected gems for that level, and must start that level from the beginning. As time and stages elapse, they get faster and harder to blow away.

Other Mechanics

Timer

At the start of the first stage, a timer begins. This timer determines how often/what gems will spawn, how often floof monsters will spawn, and their strength. This timer does not reset after each level, and does not tick in the upgrades shop.

Levels

There are 6 levels the player must escape in order to complete the game. Each level will get increasingly more difficult than the next in terms of monster spawn-rates, what rooms will spawn, etc. Traversing a level jumps the timer ahead by 2 minutes.
